Can you drive effective procurement processes in accordance with business projects, plans and strategic direction? Do you have a flair for establishing strong relationships with suppliers and customers? Then you might be our new colleague to join Swire Renewable Energy on our exciting growth journey. 

We are looking to expand our Operations team with a new colleague to undertake a variety of assignments within Procurement. You will be part of the Operations department, and you will be placed in our HQ office in Lystrup, Denmark.

 

Areas of responsibility

You will be responsible for driving effective procurement processes in accordance with business projects, plans and strategic direction, supporting both daily operations and enabling SRE’s scalability and growth. 

You will ensure efficient procurement from beginning to end and manage all request as well as order placements. You will successfully establish strong relationships with suppliers and liase on contractual agreements, including rates and terms and conditions. 

 

Principal Accountabilities 

  • Ensure efficient procurement in accordance with business projects and plans, including timely and correct delivery in close collaboration with Operations 
  • Lead order placements with our different suppliers in their systems and assist with different administrational task
  • Manage requests and procurement of all materials, equipment, personal protection equipment, work clothes etc. for our technicians as well as occasionally for our office staff 
  • Manage requests and procurement of all materials and technical components for our engineering team
  • Create purchase orders, make approvals and assist with requisitions as well as clarification on invoices in close collaboration with finance 
  • Invite tenders, compare prices, quotes and quality and procure goods in correct quantities 
  • Negotiate rates and terms of business with suppliers and ensure a cost-effective procurement process 
  • Drive the procurement process and continuously identify improvement areas and process optimisation on a global scale 
  • Liaise with suppliers on contracts, matters related to order placement and the procurement process, and build trusting relationships
  • Support the building of market insight to identify trends in the wind industry and translate them into procurement strategy 

 

The candidate

We are looking for a candidate with the following background: 

  • Relevant degree in Business, Purchasing or similar, professional bachelor’s degree in procurement or similar, or other relevant technical or academic background 
  • Experience with Procurement from a similar position
  • Experience with MS Office and ERP/IT Systems 
  • Fluent in English 
  • It will be an advantage if you posses technical knowhow of wind turbine components as well as industry-specific requirements

You are self-driven, have a problem-solving approach and is always able to find solutions to potential issues within tight deadlines. You have strong communication and negotiation skills, and you can with ease navigate with many different stakeholders. 

As a person you are structured, detail oriented and proactive. You thrive in a constantly changing and dynamic environment being agile and adaptable as things change.
